Rules for our Bible Study:
-We will NOT argue whether the Bible is true, whether God exists, etc...
(There are great discussions we can have about this, but they are for AFTER or BEFORE we have our studies…)
-We CAN argue about what words mean, what the original language seems to say, and also the differences between translations.
-If the scripture is clear on some point, we will accept it and move on.
-Our goal is to discover what the scripture is teaching US. We will not use the scripture for establishing our own doctrines, or our ideas.
-This study is NOT meant to convert you to a particular denomination, church or theology. It is meant to teach you the WORD of God in a fascinating and challenging way!
Please be considerate:
-Every person here has been invited here by God and should be treated appropriately.
-Every honest question is IMPORTANT.
-Often, age brings wisdom: In a Bible Study, this is particularly true.
-Please give thanks to those that have brought snacks or refreshments. They are really appreciated! J
-If possible, be familiar with the passages before the study begins: YOU will get more out of the study, and WE will be able to hear what you would have said (if you had given yourself more time for thought).
-Please be prayerful and expect the Lord to show you wonderful things!
