We Predestinated?
Romans 8:28-30 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

We need to study the Bible to understand the mystery of God’s will for each of us
The word “predestined” means to have planned beforehand what will happen during a journey and where we will finish our trip. Many of us made careful plans for our lives.
We have hopes and goals. Some will take years to reach… We will need to follow a plan if we expect to succeed. The truth is that many of our dreams will never be realized. Perhaps we didn’t plan well; we may lack resources, ability or enough will power. Maybe we just won’t have enough “luck”…
The Bible shows us that God has a plan for each one of us. The Lord can make better plans than we can and never lacks resources, ability, power or “luck”.
First of all, we ought to consider that the plan of God for you is GOOD.
-v.28 His plan is SO good that WHATEVER has happened in your life (or
is yet to happen), it is worth it… If it results in you accepting God’s
plan.
Secondly, (because the Lord knows each one of us), we are ALL called by God to be like His son Jesus.

One of my sons went to visit Morocco this last week. He had to organize a lot of things. How to get to the airports, what clothes to bring, how much money would he need, where to spend the nights, what should he go to see, etc… Normally, you should use a tourist agency. The Agency will have a plan that predestinates nearly all of these things.
In God’s plan, the Lord wants MANY people to live in the Kingdom of God with Jesus.
Romans 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Justification refers to the Law. Is it legal for us to enter into the Kingdom of God?
Certainly NOT!!
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
However, Jesus paid all of the accounts of those that want to accept His plan. In Christ, we are all made legal and acceptable in the Kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
The Glory of God is displayed when something happens that ONLY GOD can do.
-You are glorified by God when you see that Jesus died in your place to
offer to you His eternal life!
Matthew 22:1-4 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
-The King (the Kingdom of Heaven) is in a hurry because the animals
have already been slaughtered and everything is now ready.
(note: there were no refrigerators at that time, just salt and spices)
-The Son is Jesus and the bride is the Church.
Matthew 22:5-7 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
The invitation went to the Jews first. Sadly, the leaders of the Jews rejected Jesus. Jerusalem and the temple were burned…
Matthew 22:8-10 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
Now the invitation is for us Gentiles!
-Both the bad and the good are invited.
-How strange that the bad people are also invited…
Matthew 22:11-14 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless (he did not have an excuse).
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
-Notice that the problem wasn’t that the man was a bad man, but
that he was not prepared (dressed properly).
-Not everyone that is called will be chosen… How can WE be
chosen?
Ephesians 1:1-4 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
How can we be the saints and the faithful in Christ?
Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
How wonderful it would be to be adopted by Jesus Christ!
-Do we need to make special prayers?
-Do we need to fill out special forms at the church?
-Do we have to pay money or pay fines or hire a lawyer?
Ephesians 1:6-7 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
How can we receive this redemption through the blood of Jesus?
Ephesians 1:8-10 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
Well, it’s in accordance to the will of God!
-We need to accept the will of God.
-We need to do God’s pleasure.
-We need to accept God’s invitation when God is offering it!
Ephesians 1:11-12 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
The purpose is that we will TRUST in Christ!
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Have you heard the word of Jesus? Do you know that Jesus died for you? That Jesus spilled His holy blood to wash away your sins? Do you want to offer your life to Jesus to use for His glory, His pleasure and His will?
Do it right know while there is still time.
Repent of your life of sins, selfishness and filthy desires.
You will be sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise!
You will have a life of joy, peace and love!
You will have ETERNAL LIFE!!
